Faith is Believing You’re Loved

Faith is believing that, through the Gospel of Jesus the Messiah, you are loved.

It starts with our need to be loved… and our hope that we are.

A hope that sees fulfillment when, as best we can, we come to our Creator as a little child.

It is then that we enter the kingdom where Jesus resides.

The words that follow are an attempt to understand, with the help of the Holy Spirit, what it means to be born again. You see, I have never been a child before, not in the way God intends. I have never before known submission that came from a willing heart. My hope and prayer is that His love and grace will lead us to maturity so that Jesus is truly glorified in this life our Father has given us.

I know it is awkward reading, being in the form of a blog. One must start at the bottom to follow this path that I have been on. And even then, if you do, these words are incomplete.  I am sure the changes He works in me will better help me see . By His grace and love for us I believe this is what He will do.  And some day they will be offered as a blessing, a gift to His Bride when all the dross is gone.

Perhaps, untill then, a comment from you will find its way to be a part of what will come to be.

Pray for me

For a long time I have not asked anyone to pray for me as I know the Father hears my prayers. But now I find a great need to be upheld by others in prayer as I begin to serve Jesus in a new way. I know that my time sitting comfortable at our Father’s table being nurtured in His grace is coming to an end. I know the time has come for me to enter His fields. I sence the battle ahead. A battle I MUST BELIEVE that Christ has won. This battle is fought between doubt and trust. Pray for me.

What Would I Tell

What would I tell if I traveled the world? What would I say to those in the cities? What would my words be if I met you on the road? In villages, would I find words that rise to their hearts?

I know how to start with something to say. I would begin by speaking of His, at first, unbelievable love. Unbelievable until He caused me to see. I would speek of my blindness until I became a child. A child entering His Kingdom. A child needing to know His love.

And then I would tell of an incredible love, until He led me to trust in Him. A love that convinced me that His grace is greater than my sins. A love that shapes me with patience and kindness as the gentle touch of His Spirit leads me into God’s heart.

And then, would I plead or simply invite them to Jesus? How would the Spirit move? I know it depends on the will of man, but will it withstand Love’s great call that pours out of my new heart? I am certain of this, His sheep will hear as well as those called. They will hear His voice calling to their hearts. More than I could ever do.

And then some will respond to His call to them. We will praise Jesus together. We will thank the Father, I am sure, with tears of gratefulness and joy for what They have done. We will worship together in Spirit, the ones who have received His truth. The ones who have simply received His Great Love.

Promises

If you believe His promises are not true for you, that is something God wills to change.

But, if you believe His promises are not true, there is nothing He can do. For these are thoughts against Him. They call it a lie what God says He will do.

But, if it is only doubt of God’s love for you that stands in the way, this you need to know. Your evil heart of disbelief, the heart He calls stone, is being replaced with a heart of flesh. You will know in time that all of His promises, given in love, are for you.

Logs and Kindling

“Not by hype, but by My Spirit” the Lord says to me. “My ways are not your ways, it is in My timing that all will come to pass. My children will hear as I raise My voice to their spirit and they will follow Me. I will turn their eyes to the Kingdom and away from the world. For I am the Living Word of the Vine, whose wood kindles their hearts.”

To a child He has given a bundle of forty pieces of kindling that He has prepared for seven logs that will burn together in His Fire of Revival.

Seven logs, seven chapters, placed one upon another. These logs are large pieces of seasoned wood fragrant with oil. They are meant to give their light and heat until the Bright of Day. As the fire is built, as these logs begin to burn together, both the light and heat of revelation increase. A simple allegory to revive the Holy Fire of God’s Life in His children.

The first is The Log of Beginnings, not of God, of man. It is essential to understand who we are. Four thousand years of history, shown in eight pages, is the log upon which all else will rest. Simple truths must be known and accepted so that one can grow in understanding. Truth builds upon truth. Truth is the foundation on which your today should rest.

Next is The Log of Grace, now that you understand who God is and who you are you get to see what He has given you. It is explained in an unusual way, a one-sided conversation, thoughts building one upon another. Your part is to have silent moments with The Word, listening in the Spirit. And when you take His words to heart you will understand and begin to rejoice in the Righteousness of God in Christ.

The third is The Log of Promise placed to open your eyes to the wonders that God has for you.  It was written because I know the struggle of faith. My heart was truly given to the words upon these pages. They are given in faith that they will help you. A log yet to cast its light and heat though it is so full of promise. A log chosen by a friend who is also your brother.

The fourth is The Log of Aaron’s Fire. It burned upon the Holy Fire consuming offerings that brought pleasure to God. And as it burns the light that it gives enables the disciple to see God’s will clearly and then to bring Him pleasure. Within this glowing light is seen that which will bring the Father’s command of blessing down upon His children.

The fifth is The Log of Beauty meant to turn up the heat and warm you through and through. By the side of this fire is where our Father sits calling you to be close to Him.  He would give you instruction regarding prayer and watchfulness. In the light of this log is seen the secret to having all of the privileges of family.

The sixth log placed upon the fire is called Prayer. When this log adds to the flame the power of God is witnessed, for mountains will move if it brings to Him glory.

The seventh is The Log of Purpose and when placed upon God’s fire, brings clarity of purpose in this life you now live.

The kindling is forty small pieces. Their flames dance with colors and their sounds are pleasant to the ear. His kindling is fragrant with oil that burns with intensity. It is needed not just to start a fire, it is desired day by day, for pleasant is the voice of God to those who would hear Him speak. His Word is always needed to keep His Holy Fire burning.

This is the book, “Logs and Kindling for the Fire of Revival.” May the Father be glorified, in the work of His Spirit, because of His Son.

“Four Thousand Years of History”  pg. 20

“Another lesson to be learned, God does the finding and choosing. He found you and as you trust you will find His blessings. He may even send angels to you. Try not to incredulously laugh as Abraham’s Sarah did, no telling what He would do.”

“He Came unto His Own” pg. 24

“How could it be that they could not see? And will it be the same when now He comes again? It was not meant to be a surprise. His word promised His coming. At so many times and in so many ways He spoke through His prophets. Yet there were only a few that looked for Him, few that anticipated. Few that cared. They were called as are we. Many were called, but few received. Do you think now is any different?”

“Words of a Friend” pgs. 55-56

“He has given His Son. Will He not give us all things as He promised? Will He not show you, His child, His way for you? Will He not perform that which He has declared? It is only fear that keeps us away from His throne. The fear that He does not love us that much. Oh, we blame it on other things. We seldom admit that we doubt His love for us. If we understood how much we are loved we would be before His throne continually. We would be asking for His will to be done, because we would know that His will is to reveal His love. We would know because He had revealed His love to us.”

 “Coming Home” pg. 65

“I know we have had many chances to discover that we are not worthy. But, He is. Jesus is the Righteousness of God given to us. This gift is God’s righteousness and it is being displayed in us to all creatures, to all powers in the heavens at this very moment. That which He is doing for us and in us and through us is HIS MIGHTY WORK OF SALVATION that all might see HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.”

 “Watching Our Father” pg. 76

“Is there a temptation more subtle than sleep? Heavy eyes losing sight of the wonders to be seen. Wonders He would show us, if we were awake. The silence of sleep sedates our spirit so that we can not hear the whisper of His words to us. That silence is the ceasing of our prayers. Our Lord calls each of us to watch and pray that we might overcome this weakness by the strength of His Spirit.”

”Conversation Goes Both Ways” pg. 89

“We must also ask, in the things that we ask, that the Father be glorified in the Son. That kind of eliminates a lot of things we ask for, “we ask amiss.”  When we understand why Jesus would be so willing to do what we ask in His name, we discover there are many things the Holy Spirit will prompt us to ask. Things that will bring glory to the Father.”

 “About Our Father’s Business” pg.99

“With all this going on for you don’t you think you should come to know Him better? You know where He is found. He is now in you. God’s Spirit dwells in all of His children. He is closer than we can understand or imagine. In Him you have your being. You even know what He desires to do. “I must be about My Father’s business.” Only now He wants to do it through you.”

“Think You’re Pretty Smart?” pg. 104,  Kindling 1st of 40

If you do think highly of yourself you had better think again, there might still remain much more for God’s Spirit to do in you. In time, all His children come to see that our  understanding falls short in so many ways. When it comes to salvation only God can explain.

Have you ever seen a smart vessel? They all seem to rest upon the floor or shelf, or maybe on the table, empty until someone fills them up. Some are for taking out the trash and some hold honor as the centerpiece. But they did not choose how they would be used. Someone else shaped them for the task, that they might serve in some way. How silly the vessel to think that it can be another way. Your thoughts do not determine who you will come to be. And yet for some strange reason, known to God, the Potter wants you to know that you are on His wheel.

When you think about this wheel you are on, you are sure to think that you can help in some way. That you, the clay, can help the Craftsman is a useless thought at best. In time you understand that salvation is all of Him. When we are shown this, we then ask to be all that we can be. That is the pride of self thinking again. ”What is in it for me? Can I taste the freedom from all sin? Can I shine that others might follow? Can I somehow command God to be with me? Can I be a centerpiece?”

And so you learn by God’s grace how hopeless you are, hopeless without Him. It is only by His Spirit that you take shape at all. What you will be, when you see this, is an instrument of His praise. So just love Him, that will draw you closer. When you love someone you spend your time with them, you get to know them and as you do, you love them all the more.

Hope

“And again, Isaiah says, The Root of Jesse will spring up, One who will arise to rule over the nations; in Him the Gentiles will hope.”
                                               Isaiah 11:10 Romans 15:15
Do you ever think about hope? Oh, you know what it does. It lifts you out of that place of fog that leads you into darkness. Hope is for something better. A better faith, a stronger belief in His word, a greater love for God and man. This is what we hope for, but what is hope?
Hope is a gift of grace. You see, the God of Grace is also the God of Hope.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope BY the Power of the Holy Spirit.”

                                                                                                                                Romans 15:13
Hope is a gift of grace given to us in Jesus. We wouldn’t have a hope without Him. But with Him, as we place our hopeful trust in Him, He gives us more reason to hope. For the joy and peace that comes from trusting Him causes our hope to overflow.

You Shouldn’t Trust My Judgement

You see, I can’t trust my own. I know I’m not perfect. I am learning to walk in the Spirit. Now He is perfection! I am with Him every day. With Holiness within me I can sure see myself. But, I am learning to follow as His voice speaks to me. I am learning to trust God’s judgement. I am learning to go where He tells me and to say the things that must be said.

“Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:29

We are blessed in our belief. Blessed in believing that God would do this wonderful thing for us. That man’s burden of the law would be lifted. That His Spirit would be the power that man never had.

We who have not seen, yet believe, are blessed with the abiding Spirit of Christ. Blessed because we believe.  There is much blessing ahead as we believe, as we trust in His promises, the covenant God made. Jesus will do anything for us, if His Father is glorified, when we believe.

I’m back for a moment to praise our Lord

There is still so much to do. Not that I am in a rush, I know all will be in His time. Now is the time for editing and prayer that God’s will is known. I’m praying to know who to place these words with. At first I thought to write about the journey I have been on with the Lord knowing that if truth be told, the child of God would hear. I simply wanted to encourage. Thus the title I thought would be, “Our Journey.” God’s  thoughts are greater than our own, for He calls it “LOGS and KINDLING for the Fire of Revival” May the Father be glorified in all we ask to do.
